I believe the limit for a game is 4 innings, what would be the rest period(s) for 12U hardball pitchers?
We play on Tues. and Thur., is it possible to pitch both days?? and in what capacity??
I found on Little League .com, something about pitch count...eg: 85 pitches requires 3 days etc. ...do we go by pitch count or innings??
Thanks in advance,
G Jones

Our limitations are strictly innings per game.
While other methods of policing pitcher limitations are used by other organizations, the multi-city character of our organization, and the logistical problems arising out of collecting even the simplest of information, lead us to opt for an "in game" rule and "on the field" enforcement.
Of course, if your home organization has its own policies on the innings to be pitched I would strongly recommend you check with your local officers to get their spin on how the DBA rule should be applied to your pitchers.
But there are limitations as to how a local organization can vary from DBA rules. A local organization can not make rules which would allow more innings than the DBA rule, and cannot make rules which would limit your non-resident opponents from following the DBA rules; but, conceivably a local organization could impose on its own managers a MORE RESTRICTIVE rule covering their own kids.

What is the limit a pitcher can pitch in a game for 14UHB. I was told they can pitch the whole game if necessary at this age. I thought it was still only 4 innings.
thanks ymd

The rules are clear.
4 innings.
Who told you differently? I would be interested in knowing.
