The home plate at Riverview’s High School 2 is a hazard to the players of this league . It is sunk at least 4 – 6 inches below the surrounding field on a sharp decline . It is by no means a gradual decline , I would describe the home plate as sitting in a depression. A player blowing out an ankle or a knee or perhaps a more severe injury is imminent if the area around home plate is not brought up to standard immediately. Any pressures you can put on the department that is responsible for field maintenance would be greatly appreciated . I’d rather play at the field on Hale street ( I think it is High School 4) than risk a players injury if Riverview will not comply . This not my sole opinion but the consensuses of visiting players / coaches , our team and the umpires
Sincerely
Vance L. Riley

The DBA provides rules and scheduling. All issues regarding fields should be directed to the home association. And, since I too am from Riverview, I know that the City is responsible for field condition issues.
I have sent a a link of your email to your General Manager, the league president and the recreation department.
